A Note from Nurse Castillo

Hello Nash families! We are sharing these guidelines to help keep all our students, families, and staff healthy. Thank you for partnering with us to reduce the spread of illness at school.

Fever

Please keep your child home if their temperature is 100°or higher. Your child may return to school when they have been:

  • Fever-free for 24 hours

  • Free from fever without Tylenol (acetaminophen), Motrin, Advil (ibuprofen), or another fever-reducing medicine

Please do not use medication to lower a fever just so your child can attend school.

Vomiting

Please keep your child home if they are vomiting. Your child may return when:

  • They have gone 24 hours without vomiting

  • They are able to eat and drink normally

Diarrhea

Students experiencing diarrhea should remain home. Your child may return when:

  • They have gone 24 hours without diarrhea

  • They have not used diarrhea-suppressing medication

Remember to Wash Your Hands!

Regular handwashing with soap and water is one of the best ways to help prevent germs from spreading. Please remind your child to wash their hands often, especially before eating and after using the restroom.

Thank you for your care and partnership in keeping our school healthy!
